HUD to Conduct Computer Matching Program with VA for Loan Screening

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is issuing a public notice of its intent to conduct a recurring computer matching program with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to utilize HUD's Credit Alert Interactive Verification and Reporting System (CAIVRS) for loan screening purposes, in accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974 and the Computer Matching and Privacy Protection Act of 1988.
