Federal Perkins Loan, Federal Work-Study, and Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant Programs Reallocated Funds for Hurricane Katrina and Rita Affected Institutions

The Natural Disaster Student Aid Fairness Act of 2005 reallocated unspent funds from Federal Perkins Loans, Federal Work-Study, and Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants to institutions of higher education in Hurricane Katrina and Rita-affected areas or those with affected students, as per Public Law 109-86, signed by the President on October 7, 2005.
