FMCSA Revises Exemption for Insulin-Treated Diabetic Drivers

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has revised its exemption policy for insulin-treated diabetic drivers of commercial motor vehicles, allowing them to operate in interstate commerce without demonstrating safe driving experience while using insulin, in response to the Safe, Accountable, Flexible and Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU) of 2005.
