US Amends Regulations for Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy Importation from Canada

The US Department of Agriculture has updated its regulations to allow for easier importation of Canadian livestock and products, while maintaining strict controls to prevent the spread of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE) disease, and to improve the humane treatment of animals during transport.
