US Department of Agriculture Amends WIC Regulations to Strengthen Vendor Cost Containment

The US Department of Agriculture has issued an interim rule to amend the regulations governing the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), strengthening vendor cost containment by incorporating new legislative requirements from the Child Nutrition and WIC Reauthorization Act of 2004, enacted on June 30, 2004.
