Los Vaqueros Reservoir Expansion Investigation Underway in Contra Costa County, CA

The US Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, will conduct an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to assess expanding Los Vaqueros Reservoir and alternative water supply solutions for the Bay Area, with the goal of improving water quality and reliability, particularly for water users in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta region, and supporting the implementation of the CALFED Environmental Water Account (EWA) at a lower cost.
