Nuclear Regulatory Commission Amends Regulations for BNG Fuel Solutions Corporation VSC-24 Cask System

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is updating its list of approved spent fuel storage casks by revising the BNG Fuel Solutions Corporation VSC-24 cask system to reflect Amendment No. 6 to Certificate of Compliance Number 1007. The changes eliminate the requirement for daily temperature measurements, as visual inspections of the cask's inlet and outlet vent screens can determine when corrective action is needed to maintain safe storage conditions.
