Exelon Generation Company, LLC and Amergen Energy Company, LLC Seek Exemption for Planned Nuclear Power Plant Closures

Exelon Generation Company, LLC and Amergen Energy Company, LLC have submitted a request to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for an exemption to close several nuclear power plants, including Braidwood Station, Byron Station, Clinton Power Station, Dresden Nuclear Power Station, Lasalle County Station, Limerick Generating Station, Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station, Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station, Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, and Zion Nuclear Power Station, in order to transition to newer, more efficient units or retire the existing facilities.
