U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Publishes Proposed Rule on Expanded Definition of Byproduct Material

The NRC has published a proposed rule on the expanded definition of byproduct material, inviting public comments until September 11, 2006, and plans to hold a public meeting to solicit comments.
