Nuclear Regulatory Commission Proposes Changes to Licensing and Approval Process for New Nuclear Reactors

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is proposing to modify its regulations for limited work authorizations (LWA) to enhance the efficiency of its licensing and approval process for new nuclear reactors, allowing for limited construction activities to begin before a construction permit or combined license is issued.
