FAA Proposes New Airworthiness Directive for Gulfstream GV and GV-SP Series Airplanes

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) proposes a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Gulfstream Model GV and GV-SP series airplanes to address reports of broken or cracked damper shafts in the aileron and elevator actuator assemblies. The proposed AD would require inspections and replacements to prevent a hard-over condition, which could lead to increased pilot workload and reduced airplane controllability.
