FAA Adopts New Airworthiness Directive for Airbus A340-200 and -300 Series Airplanes
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has adopted a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Airbus Model A340-200 and -300 series airplanes, requiring updates to the flight manual to address a software error that could lead to incorrect runway length calculations during ferry flights. This measure aims to prevent takeoff accidents by ensuring flight crews can safely abort the takeoff and maintain airplane control.
