FAA Proposes New Airworthiness Directive for Bombardier Regional Jets
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is proposing a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Bombardier Model CL-600-2B19 (Regional Jet Series 100 & 440) airplanes to address a series of flap system failures that have resulted in twisted outboard flap panels, and to prevent unannounced failures of the flap system, which could lead to reduced controllability of the aircraft.
