FAA Adopts New Airworthiness Directive for Boeing 707 and 720/720B Airplanes

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Boeing Model 707 airplanes and the 720 and 720B series airplanes, requiring revisions to the airplane flight manual to prevent dry operation of fuel pumps and electrical faults that could lead to fires or explosions. The FAA is taking this action following fuel system reviews by the manufacturer.
