FAA Adopts New Airworthiness Directive for Boeing 757-200 and -300 Series Airplanes Powered by PW2000 Engines

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has adopted a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Boeing 757-200, -200PF, and -300 series airplanes powered by Pratt & Whitney PW2000 engines, requiring repetitive inspections of support brackets and fasteners to prevent potential fires caused by electrical issues, overheating, or flammable fluid migration. The directive aims to address reports of damaged components and subsequent failures within the nacelle struts.
