FAA Adopts New Airworthiness Directive for Turbomeca Arriel 2B and 2B1 Turboshaft Engines

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a new airworthiness directive requiring visual checks of the free turbine shield for cracks in Turbomeca Arriel 2B and 2B1 turboshaft engines, following reports of large circumferential cracks found in the shields.
