FCC Announces Effective Dates for Universal Licensing System Rules

The Federal Communications Commission's Wireless Telecommunications Bureau has announced that certain rules adopted in 1998 and 1999 for the Universal Licensing System became effective on January 21, 1999, and October 1, 1999, respectively, after obtaining approval from the Office of Management and Budget.
