Radio Broadcasting Services; Brawley and Campo, CA

The Audio Division seeks comment on a petition filed by CCR- Brawley IV, LLC, proposing the downgrade from Channel 241B to Channel 241B1 at Brawley, the reallotment of Channel 241B1 from Brawley to Campo, California, and the modification of Station KSIQ(FM)'s license accordingly. Channel 241B1 can be reallotted to Campo in compliance with the Commission's minimum distance separation with a site restriction of 3.9 kilometers (1.4 miles) north at petitioner's requested site. The coordinates for Channel 241B1 at Campo are 32-38-30 North Latitude and 116-28-05 West Longitude. Since Campo is located within 320 kilometers (199 miles) of the U.S.-Mexican border, concurrence of the Mexican government has been requested. In accordance with the provisions of Section 1.420(i) of the Commission's rules, we shall not accept competing expressions of interest for the use of Channel 241B1 at Campo, California.

Promoting Fair and Open Competitive Bidding in the E-Rate Program; Schools and Libraries Universal Service Support Mechanism

In this document, the Federal Communications Commission (Commission) announces that the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has approved until November 30, 2027 an information collection associated with the rules for the Universal Service Schools and Libraries program contained in the Commission's Promoting Fair and Open Competitive Bidding in the E-Rate Program; Schools and Libraries Universal Service Support Mechanism Report and Order (Report and Order), WC Docket No. 21-455, CC Docket No. 02-6; FCC 26-30. This document is consistent with the Report and Order, which stated that the Commission would publish a document in the Federal Register announcing the effective date of the new information collection requirements.

Protecting Against National Security Threats to the Communications Supply Chain Through the Equipment Authorization Program

In this document, the Federal Communications Commission (Commission or FCC) takes further steps to strengthen its equipment authorization program against national security risks to the communications supply chain. The Commission closes a component-part loophole by prohibiting authorization of devices that incorporate logic-bearing hardware components produced by an entity identified on the Commission's Covered List, where the device would itself be prohibited from authorization had the Covered List entity produced the entire device. The Commission also requires that any modification or permissive change to equipment by an entity identified on the Covered List undergo full certification, clarifies that its marketing rules reach any entity (including online marketplaces) that markets unauthorized equipment, and requires online marketplaces, subject to limited exceptions, to display a device's FCC ID at the online point of sale. Finally, the Commission amends its definition of "critical infrastructure," as used on the Covered List, and corrects two administrative errors in its rules.
