US FCC Approves Two-Line Captioned Telephone Service for Individuals with Hearing and Speech Disabilities

The US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has concluded that two-line captioned telephone service is eligible for compensation from the Interstate TRS Fund and approved a proposed allocation methodology for determining the number of inbound two-line captioned telephone minutes to be compensated. The FCC also seeks approval from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for paperwork reduction act burdens related to annual reporting requirements for TRS providers offering two-line captioned telephone service.
