FCC to Discuss Two Proposals on October 28, 2005

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will discuss two major proposals on October 28, 2005. Firstly, the Commission will consider adopting rules for satellite carriage of 'significantly viewed' TV stations, as mandated by the Satellite Home Viewer Extension and Reauthorization Act (SHVERA). Secondly, the Commission will review a transfer of control between SBC Communications Inc. and AT&T Corp.
