FDA Releases Guidance on Harmonization of Veterinary Medicinal Products

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has made available a guidance document (VICH GL-39) developed by the International Cooperation on Harmonization of Technical Requirements for Registration of Veterinary Medicinal Products (VICH) to assist in establishing a single set of recommended global specifications for new veterinary drug substances and medicinal products, particularly those of synthetic chemical origin that have not been previously registered in the US, EU, or Japan.
