FDA Approves Bacteriophage Preparation for Use on Ready-to-Eat Meat and Poultry Products

The FDA is amending its food additive regulations to allow the safe use of a bacteriophage preparation as an antimicrobial agent against Listeria monocytogenes on ready-to-eat meat and poultry products, in response to a petition from Intralytix, Inc.
