EPA Approves Texas State Implementation Plan for Emissions Reductions, Sets Budgets for El Paso Ozone Nonattainment Area

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved a revised Texas State Implementation Plan to reduce one-hour ozone levels in the El Paso area, while also setting emissions budgets for volatile organic compounds and nitrogen oxides from outside the US, in compliance with the Federal Clean Air Act.
