EPA Proposes 12-Month Extension for Oil Pollution Prevention and Response Compliance Dates

The Environmental Protection Agency is proposing a 12-month extension of compliance dates for the July 2002 Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure amendments, aiming to provide sufficient time for regulated facilities to update their plans and alleviate the need for individual extension requests following a recent partial settlement of litigation.
