Coast Guard Extends Safety Zone for Wantagh Parkway Bridge Construction

The Coast Guard has extended the safety zone in the waters surrounding the Wantagh Parkway Number 3 Bridge across the Sloop Channel in New York until December 31, 2005, to allow completion of the bascule bridge construction, which aims to protect vessels from hazards posed by construction barges and equipment.
