Department of Homeland Security Launches New Automated Identification Management System for U.S. Visitor Tracking

The Department of Homeland Security is introducing a new system of records, the Automated Identification Management System, to track U.S. visitors and immigrants, starting July 31, 2005, by issuing radio frequency identification tags with unique identifiers.
