DEA to Allow Automated Dispensing Systems at Long Term Care Facilities

The US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is amending its regulations to permit retail pharmacies to install automated dispensing systems at long term care facilities, where state laws allow, in an effort to reduce excess stock and improve medication management.
