U.S. Government Sues Verizon and MCI Over Antitrust Violations, Proposes Settlement

The U.S. Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit against Verizon Communications Inc. and MCI, Inc., alleging antitrust violations, and proposes a settlement that would require the companies to divest certain assets and comply with new regulations.
