FAA Proposes New Airworthiness Directive for Boeing 747-400 Series Airplanes
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is proposing a new airworthiness directive to require replacement of at least one flap control unit in Boeing 747-400, -400D, and -400F series airplanes to prevent disconnection of autoland/autopilot functions and loss of primary flaps control and display during takeoff and landing.
