US Department of Agriculture Encourages Livestock Establishments to Implement Systematic Approach for Humane Handling and Slaughter

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) is urging livestock slaughter establishments to adopt a systematic approach to humane handling and slaughter in order to meet the requirements of the Humane Methods of Slaughter Act (HMSA) and the Federal Meat Inspection Act (FMIA).
