DoD Issues Final Rule to Implement Corrosion Prevention and Mitigation in Defense Acquisition

The US Department of Defense has published a final rule to amend the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement, requiring the prevention and mitigation of corrosion in military equipment design, acquisition, and maintenance, in accordance with Section 1067 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2003.
