American President Lines, Ltd., and APL Co. Pte. Ltd. Petition for Exemption from Shipping Act Regulations

American President Lines, Ltd., and APL Co. Pte. Ltd. have submitted a petition to the U.S. government seeking a full exemption from the first sentence of Section 9(c) of the Shipping Act of 1984, as amended. The companies have also filed a notice of their filing with the relevant regulatory agency.
