US Forest Service Proposes Santa Fe National Forest Plan Amendment and Road Management Changes

The US Forest Service proposes an amendment to the Santa Fe National Forest Plan to update oil and gas leasing stipulations and establish new development criteria. The plan also considers decommissioning or closing roads on the Cuba Ranger District due to maintenance costs and resource protection concerns.
