Fair Market Rents for the Housing Choice Voucher Program and Moderate Rehabilitation Single Room Occupancy Program Fiscal Year 2005

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has published the final Fair Market Rents (FMRs) for Fiscal Year 2005, which reflect the estimated 40th and 50th percentile rent levels trended to April 1, 2005. The FMRs were calculated using 2000 Census data and new metropolitan area definitions, resulting in significant changes that affected many public housing agencies and major interest groups.
