Office of the Commissioner; Cost-of-Living Increase and Other Determinations for 2005

The Office of the Commissioner has announced cost-of-living adjustments for 2005, including a 2.7% increase in Social Security benefits, a $579 monthly SSI benefit for eligible individuals, and a $1,410 monthly student earned income exclusion. The Commissioner has also set a $90,000 contribution and benefit base for OASDI and a $32 monthly dollar fee limit for representative payee services.
