USDA Revises Canned Pear Standards to Reflect Industry Quality Levels

The Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) is revising the United States Standards for Grades of Canned Pears in response to petitions from a grower cooperative and a processor, who requested changes to the character classification for Grade "B" canned pears to reflect their variable tenderness levels.
