Publication of the Tier 2 Tax Rates for Calendar Year 2005

The U.S. government has published the required tier 2 tax rates for railroad employees, employers, and employee representatives for the 2005 calendar year, as mandated by section 3241(d) of the Internal Revenue Code. These rates support the private pension benefits of the railroad retirement system.
