FDIC Extends Debt Guarantee Program with Surcharge and Non-Guaranteed Debt Provision

The FDIC is extending the Debt Guarantee Program for insured depository institutions and other participating entities, while imposing surcharges on certain debt issued after April 1, 2009. The program will also allow participating entities to issue non-FDIC-guaranteed debt during the extension period.
