US Revises Child Labor Regulations to Implement New Laws and Penalties
The US Department of Labor has revised child labor regulations to align with the Compactors and Balers Safety Standards Modernization Act and the Drive for Teen Employment Act, which were enacted in 1996 and 1998, respectively. The new regulations update conditions for 16- and 17-year-old workers and establish penalties for violations.
