US Department of Agriculture Proposes Rule to Improve Procurement Requirements for School Meal Programs

The US Department of Agriculture is proposing a rule to address deficiencies in the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, and Special Milk Program by clarifying procurement procedures and contract requirements, and strengthening oversight by state agencies.
