USDA to Relax Storage Requirements for Grain Security in Marketing Assistance Loan Programs

The Commodity Credit Corporation (CCC) is proposing changes to its regulations governing the Marketing Assistance Loan Programs, which are authorized by the Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002, to eliminate the need for federally-licensed warehouse operators or state-licensed warehouse operators to sign storage agreements, effective recently.
