NRC Seeks Public Comment on Proposed Change to GE BWR Completion Time for PCIVs

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is seeking public comment on a proposed change to the completion time for primary containment isolation valves in General Electric Boiling Water Reactors. The proposed change, based on a generic topical report submitted by the Boiling Water Reactors Owner's Group, would extend the allowed outage time to restore an inoperable valve to 7 days.
