NRC Proposes Generic Letter to Evaluate Compliance with Fire Protection Regulations

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is proposing a generic letter to nuclear power plants to evaluate their compliance with fire protection regulations due to failed Hemyc and MT fire barriers in recent testing. The NRC requires facilities to submit a written response to confirm compliance.
