U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission to Hold Public Meeting on Pa'ina Hawaii, LLC's License Application for Commercial Irradiator in Honolulu, HI

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) will hold a public meeting to gather public comments on Pa'ina Hawaii, LLC's application to build and operate a commercial pool-type industrial irradiator in Honolulu, near the Honolulu International Airport, which will irradiate fresh produce, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical products, and support research and development projects.
