Nuclear Regulatory Commission to Establish New Regulatory Framework for Expanded Definition of Byproduct Material

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is holding a public meeting to gather input on a proposed rule that would expand the definition of byproduct material to include certain radioactive materials used in commercial, medical, and research activities, in compliance with the Energy Policy Act of 2005.
