Entergy Seeks License Amendment to Increase Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station's Capacity

Entergy Nuclear Vermont Yankee, LLC and Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. have submitted a request to increase the maximum thermal power at Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station from 1593 MWt to 1912 MWt, a 20% increase. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has prepared a draft Environmental Assessment, which concludes that the proposed power uprate will not have a significant impact on the human environment, and a 30-day public comment period is open for review.
