U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis Proposes New Survey Rule for International Services Transactions
The Bureau of Economic Analysis, Department of Commerce, is proposing a new rule to update reporting requirements for the Benchmark Survey of Transactions in Selected Services and Intangible Assets with Foreign Persons, which would replace the existing Benchmark Survey of Selected Services Transactions with Unaffiliated Foreign Persons. The new survey, if adopted, would be conducted every five years starting from 2006 and cover all transactions with foreign persons, including affiliated and unaffiliated individuals.
