Federal Travel Regulation Amended to Allow Prepayment of Conference Fees

The Federal Travel Regulation has been updated to clarify that advance payment of discounted conference fees can be considered a legitimate travel expense, and to introduce a new provision for reimbursing prepayment of 'early bird' discounted registration fees for conferences or training sessions, helping agencies save government funds.
