FAR Case 2005-007: Central Contractor Registration-Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) Validation

The Civilian Agency Acquisition Council and the Defense Acquisition Regulations Council have agreed on a final rule to validate Central Contractor Registration registrants' taxpayer identification numbers with the IRS, improving data quality in the Federal procurement system. The amendment also removes outdated language regarding CCR contract modifications prior to December 31, 2003.
