The US Department of the Treasury has issued a final rule to amend regulations regarding the Treasury Offset Program and Cross-Servicing, with the primary goal of informing the public about how the Fiscal Service will use Social Security numbers in mailings, in compliance with the Social Security Number Fraud Prevention Act of 2017.
